Undergraduate Research Assistant, Department of Water Engineering and Science, College of Civil Engineering, Hunan University                 (2014 – Present)

  • Study of bromate formation by ferrate oxidation of bromide. (Advisor: Prof. Hao Tang)
  • Investigation of capacitive deionization on the removal of bromide and disinfection by-product precursors at Tsinghua University. (Advisor: Prof. Yuefeng Xie and Prof. Hao Tang)
    • Conducted chlorination and DBP extraction
    • Determined bromide, THMs, and HAAs by using IC and GC
    • A first-authored paper has been submitted
  • Research on the influence of NOM on the desalination performance of capacitive deionization. (Advisor: Prof. Hao Tang)
  • Research on the relation between operating parameters and desalination performance of capacitive deionization. (Advisor: Prof. Hao Tang and Prof. Zhiyong Ren).
    • Performed experimental design and assembled a bench-scale apparatus
    • Compared the performances of CDI under different operating parameters
    • Established a statistic model to guide practical engineering applications
    • A first-authored paper was published
